Ebony; very delicately carved and engraved; the eyes inlaid with light horn; the pupils darkly accentuated. Rooster; its head with the large comb turned; sitting; feet beneath its body with high curved tail. W.9.9cm. Signed: Sadakazu (Teichi) on long; rectangular reserve; yet unregistered artist. The signature on the reserve suggests an artist from the Nagoya school. Condition A.Art trade; Van Ham.
