Ivory; delicately carved and engraved; slightly stained. Okame in rich Kimono and headscarf above a thick; delicately engraved collar; thoroughly amused by the kitten she has on a leash and which is looking up at her. H.4.5cm. Signed: Hidemasa on oval cartouche; cf. MCI p. 138-48; mentioning four artists of this name. Condition A.
