Heavy copper bronze with partial fire-gilding; silver inlays and a reddish brown lacquer patina. This might be the depiction of this high lama; who was also called Sanggye Pal; living from 1339-1420. He sits on a double lotus with his hands in dharmachakra mudra in front of his chest. The engraved garment trimmings are accompanied by silver pearl borders. On the back inlaid cloud pattern in silver. Height 19.5cm. Base sealed. Condition A/B.Art trade; Van Ham.
