Thin-walled bronze with gilding and painted with lacquer in the style of the Han Dynasty. The arched bottom; the straight wall and the horizontal lip gives the idea of the use as a washing bowl. The painting shows in circulating bands people with horses and in different occupations; inbetween trees and plants; further bands with stylized clouds. H.8cm; ?33.2cm. Condition B.
