The reference of the artist "L黡dekens" refers to the Modersohn-collector Dr. Ernst
L黡dekens from Hannover; for whom the painting was originally reserved. However; it then
passed into the possession of his son Christian (O. Modersohn to Dr. L黡dekens; letter
from February 17th; 1943). The frame also comes from his hand.
