NETSUKE: WILD SOW WITH SHOATS.
Japan. Edo period. Ca. 1800.
Ivory; very delicately carved; engraved and slightly coloured. Wild sow (female boar) sleeping with freshling on the partly rotten leaves of a strong pumpkin branch with fruit. W.5.8cm. Condition A/B. Age cracks.
