Beijing (Peking); Jingshan Park: Eastern entrance with stone lions (guarding lions); The Imperial Garden; today north of the Forbidden City; was built 1421 around an artificial hill; the Imperial Palace Hill; also called Feng Shui Hill or Coal Hill (Chinese: Meishan). The park was part of the Forbidden City; for a long time. Here is also the tree; where the last Emperor of Ming dynasty; Chongzhen Emperor; commited suicide; in 1644; as his dynasty ended. The Jingshan Park (Chinese: Jingshan Gongyu醤); since 1928 is open to the public.
