Beijing (Peking); Beijing Temple of Confucius (Chinese: Beijing Kongmi鄌): Over 700 years old Platycladus orientalis called "Touch-Evil Cypress" (Chu Jian Bai or Chujianbai) in a courtyard of the Temple of Confucius (Kong Fuzi; ca 551 BC - 479 BC); The second biggest temple to honor the philosopher and teacher was built; in 1302. The teachings of Confucius were practised here; until 1911.
