Fiordland, New Zealand - 25 February 2019; Milford Sound is one of the scenic wonders of the world. It is a magnificent fjord of the appropriately named Fiordland, located on the west of New Zealand's South Island. Like all fjords, it was carved by the action of glaciers in the ice ages and was then flooded by the sea when the glaciers retreated. Who knows, one day the glaciers may return? But not yet. Here we see it on a rare clear, sunny and cloudless day. Why rare? Because this is one of the rainiest spots on earth.
