Tayok Pye Temple, Myanmar - 29 January 2013; this is one of the many stunning temples in the Bagan Archeological Zone. From the 9th to 13th centuries, the city of Bagan (as it si called now) was the capital of the Kingdom of Pagan, the first kingdom to unify the regions that would later become Myanmar. At its peak, over 10000 monasteries, temples and pagodas were built in the valley, of which over 2000 still remain today. Including this one.
