HMS Belfast was a Royal Navy light cruiser which saw active service in World War 2. It has now become a museum ship and tourist attraction, permanently moored in London on the River Thames and operated by the Imperial War Museum. The City of London, seen in the background, is a global financial centre; its skyline has changed dramatically over recent years. Londoners have nicknamed many of the new skyscrapers, including the iconic Gherkin shown here.
