Anaerobic digester producing energy on a farm in Berlin, Pennsylvania, USA. The digester does this by breaking down biodegradable organic material in the absence of oxygen. This produces biogas and digestate. The digestate produced can be applied to the land as fertiliser. This is a regenerative farming practice that can improve soil health.
