King's Portrait For The H.A.C.: A new portrait of the King, painted before his Majesty's recent illness and operation by Mr. Maurice Codner. Commissioned by the Army's oldest regiment, the Honourable Artillery Company, of whom the King is Captain Genral, the painting will be on view in the Royal Society of Portrait Painters exhibition in Piccadilly, London, tomorrow (Thursday). Eventually it will hang in the H.A.C.'s Armoury house beside the portraits of past Captains-General. For the painting, which shows the King full length, his Majesty wears Garter robes over the uniform of Field Marshal. November 21, 1951. (Photo by Reuterphoto)
