Duchess Receives Buenos Aires Cheque -- The Duchess of Gloucester when receiving the cheque. Mr. J. M. Eddy, O.D.E. Chairman of Buenos Aires Great Southern, Western and Midland Railways, handed a Cheque of ?1,250 to the Duchess of Gloucester outside York House. The money is a gift from the 40,000 non-British employees of these three Argentine railways, and represented small voluntary savings in pesos.
