Truman received the first UN Flag to be made by a rural women's group in connection with the flag-sewing project, from Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt, Chairman of the National Citizens' Committee for United Nations Day, and the Misses Charlotte Ingram and Mary Ann Long, representing the Committee.
