Shipments of blue and white United Nations flags are being made to the unified United Nations forces assisting the Republic of Korea in defense against the North Korean Communist invaders. The use of the UN flag was authorized recently by the UN Security Council. The photograph shows two U.S. airline hostesses holding one of the flags, which are being sent to General of the Army Douglas MacArthur, Commanding General for the unified United Nations forces, to be distributed to the Korean battlefronts.
