Presenting The Patchett -- One of Britain's latest weapons, the Patchett 9mm. machine carbins, is fired by Sergeant-Instructor T.A. McCluskey, from reading, at the small Arms wing of the school of Infantry - popularly known in the Army as the small Arms School at Hythe, Kent, to-day (Monday). The Patchett, which may be adopted by the Army, is now being tested under active service conditions. It was on view at Hythe to-day when some of the most modern weapons were demonstrated in connection with the centenary of the School, being celebrated this year. February 23, 1953.
