U.S. Soldier Handles Bren Gun -- British troops fighting alongside Americans in the United Nations land force in Korea have come into close contact with each other in the past few months. In the lulls between the sporadic fighting units get a chance to meet up with their comrades in arms. During this lull in the fighting, sergeant William J. McCartney, of the 8th. United States Cavalry Regiment makes full use of the opportunity by learning how to handle the British Bren Gun. Teaching him is Sergeant Harry Greenfield, from Wrexham, North Wales, a member of the 1st. King's Shropshire Light Infantry. The U.S. Sergeant is from East Liverpool, Ohio. October 11, 1951.
