Zulus Greet Royal Family -- The Royal Family had their first view of Zulus when they were greeted by these bead-bedecked women at Waggon Bridge, Ladysmith, on the occasion of crossing the border from the Orange Free State into Natal. Their Majesties were welcomed at Ladysmith by General Smuts and nearly 3,000 South African Indians, the whole Indian population of Ladysmith. March 18, 1947.
