The Royal Family Witness Zulu Dance -- The Zulu dance for the Royal Family in progress at Eshowe. A Royal Dance was arranged at Eshowe on March 19th for the occasion of the visit of the Royal Family. Zulu warriors, with Shields and assegais staged a revival of a ceremony belonging to an order of African society now obsolete. At the end of the dance, the Zulus, with tossing plumes and brandished assegais and knobkerries, surged up to the royal stand and almost shock the earth with the stamp of naked feet. March 24, 1947.
