Queen Victoria's Unique Bracelet. For Red Cross Sale - This antique bracelet has been sent as a gift to the sale at Christie's on June 10th in aid of the red cross and St. John's. It is a corded gold bracelet worn daily by Queen Victoria in her earlier married years. Attached to the gold cord are four lockets each enclosing not miniatures in the ordinary sense of the Word- but beautifully painted eyes of herself, of the Prince Consort, of Prince Alfred (later the Duke of Edinburgh father of Queen Maree of Romania) and Princess Alice, grand Duchess of Hesse, the mother of the late Cazarina, each locket contains a tiny wisp of hair. June 12, 1940. (Photo by LNA).
