Dietrich Fetes Lubitsch -- Them at the cake cutting. The cake was decorated with 25 candles and bore the inscription, "Congratulations Ernst, Marlene." The entire motion picture company of more than 50 persons joined the party. Exactly 25 years ago Ernst Lubitsch started directing his first picture in 1912, in Templehof, a Berlin suburb.
