Shaw's Boswell - Frederick Loewenstein consults a volume from his library, Archibald. Henderson's "Shaw, playboy and Prophet"; every book is either by Shaw or has some bearing on him. Dr Loewenstein has the nearest thing to a complete collection of Shaw's writings that there is in existence, books, magazines old and new, tattered newspaper. He is a constant customer of secondhand booksellers; his bibliographer's eye has sought out many treasures, including valuable first editions. Behind Dr Loewenstein, in the corner, hang a pair of woollen mittens, saved from Shaw's wastepaper basket when he had done with them (victim of had circulation, he wears them to keep his hands warm while writing).
