The Latest Addition To The Navy: The destroyer "Duchess" leaving the Tyne for acceptance trials. After being held up by fog since Wednesday last, ***** destroyer "Duchess" built by Palmer's Shipbuilding & Iron Co., left the Tyne to carry out acceptance trials. After trials she will proceed to Chatham ***** commission for service. Commanded by Lieut. Comdr. L. Dover, the "Duchess" is the 109th warship to be built for the Admiralty by Palmers, and the lest of the two Defender Class destroyers constructed by the firm under the 1930 programme.
