Putting On The Heat - Under Water -- Though, apparently, it's an ordinary welding job, the bubbles and the dress show that this man is working under water. He's a Royal Navy diver-in standard dress-working in a 15-feet deep tank at the diving training school of H.M.S. 'Vernon' at Portsmouth. At the school, Navy divers and frogmen get practical experience in salvage and underwater clearance. March 20, 1952. (Photo by Reuterphoto).
