Motor Cycling "Duke" Wins Isle Of Man Race -- Geoffrey Duke riding a Norton (No.1) catching up on T. McEwen (also on a Norton) (No. 85) around the sharp corner at Governor's bridge during the race. Geoffrey Duke - "The Duke" of motor cycle racing - won the Senior International Tourist Trophy Race in the Isle of Man yesterday and smashed all his own records - by mistakes. On his second circuit of the course he misread a signal and thought he was lying third. He "burned up" the last 13 miles of the 38-mile course, touching 130 miles perhour and raised his lap record form 93.53 miles per hour to 95.22. June 9, 1951. (Photo by Paul Popper).
