An attempt on the world's water speed record at present held by America with a speed of 160 m.p.h. is to be made on a specially-designed jet-engine hydrofoil, the 'White Hawk", by the designer and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Hanning-Lee, of London, who are now conducting tests with the boat at Margate.
