Mrs. Morris Cafritz - A Washington socialite, Mrs Gwendoline Cafritz, was robbed at knife point yesterday by tour men who escaped with jewels worth 250,000 dollars (?112,000). Police said the bandits took diamonds, emeralds and pearls from a safe in Mrs Cafritzs home in the Foxhall Road area. Among the 26 items stolen was a diamond necklace with 46 stones totalling 80 carats. It was valued at 100,000 dollars (?44,600). Financier?s Wife - Mrs Cafritz is the widow of Morris Cafritz, a Washington financier and real- estate dealer. Four men grabbed her and held a knife to her throat as she returned home.
