The 'Times' Has Mobile Printing Plant - A view of the printing plant which is housed in the traolers. The London 'Times' announced to-day that it has developed what is believed to be the first completely mobile printing plant in the world. The plant is capable of turning out more than 12,000 papers an hour. The 'Times' said it had developed the lorry-mounted plant itself, including a rotary press. Another truck carries a workshop, supplies and a trailer loaded with generators. Four more equipped with radio sending and receiving sets accommodate news rooms and copy desks. April 24, 1953.
