Capture of Yi Kiang Shan - Chinese "Liberation Army" troops stormed and captured the nationalist held island of Yi Kiang Shan, one of the Tachen group, on Jan 18 in a sudden assault supported by naval and air forces. According to Communist sources in Peiping this nationalist soldiers leaving one of their bunkers after the Island surrendered. A Chinese Communist soldier covers them at pistol point. March 23, 1955.
