Govt. Scheme For Training Girls In Chemistry - A girl trainee carrying out an experiment at the Battersea Polytechnic where some of the girls are being trained under the Government scheme. The Government have started yet another training scheme, under the auspices of the Ministry of Supply, in coaching girls in analytical chemistry. Girls between the aged of 17 and 19 are given an eight weeks course, and if the required standard of proficiency is reached the "graduates" will join the Ministry's Chemical Inspection Department as laboratory and experimental assistants.
