Portugal's President at Buckingham Palace -- London had a Royal Welcome for General Francisco Craveiro Lopes, President of Portugal - Britain's oldest ally - on his arrival at Westminster Pier today (Tuesday) for his State visit. The Queen and members of her family were there to greet the President and his wife, who had traveled up-river by Royal barge from the Portuguese warship Bartolomeu Dias, moored near tower Bridge.
