Bob Brasted of Kensington can't read a note of music and has never played an organ, yet he sits at the console, creating tone that makes you blink with it's brilliance. Bob, an electrician has in front of him a score, which tells him how to play his part. Every ke and stop means a combination, bringing into play thousands of lights. He is operating the latest thing in lighting. Which has been put into use for the first time at the Empress Hall Earls Court, where the pantomime on ice "Babes in the Wood" is being performed. The whole instrument is similar in every way to the keyboard of an organ, for it has been created with the co-operation of a well known firm of organ builders. December 22, 1950.
