Phenomenon In Melbourne Sky Last Night -- This is not a surrealist version of "Melbourne by Pale Moonlight." It is what appeared on the film of a 40-inch lens camera which staff photographer Lloyd Brown last night trained on the crescent moon and Venus as they set in the western sky. The trails of light show the movement of the planets during the three-minute exposure. In the foreground are (from left) the tower of the State Theatre, the railway station, and the Cathedral spires. Only the hour hand, and the end of the minute hand, can be seen 8603 on the clock. The relatively dim light behind silhouetted the slow-moving hour hand, but could not record the other hand.
