Italian Help In Britain. Two "Co-operatives" working ***** Beauty Lambourn, a 20-year railway worker. More than 60,000 Italian Prisoners of War in this country have taken advantage of the British Government's invitation to become volunteers in the common war effort. These "Co-operatives", as they are now styled, are formed into units organized on a military basis, staffed, so far as is practical by Italian officers and N.C.O's and are now permitted to talk with members of the public, visit private houses, if invited to do so, and visit cinemas at the discretion of their C.C., but they may not enter public buses or use public conveyances, ***** on duty. August 30, 1944.
