In the Scarred streets of "liberated" Dover and Folkestone, the Kind and Queen to-day received a great welcome. The small waiting-room of Kearsney station, just outside Dover, was the starting-point of their tour. There they met 36 Civil Defence leaders, including five mayors and Ganger S.G.
