A Royal Occasion For Working Mens College -- H.M. The Queen seen presenting the Duke of York's medal to Mr. Sydney Marks, a 50-years-old master carpenter from Dalston (East London) who joined the College in 1927. After studying a variety of subjects, Mr. Marks took up Russian with such success that he now teaches the language. The highlight of a week of celebrations to mark the centenary of the founding of the Working Mens College, Camden Town (London), was tonight's visit by H.M. November 5, 1954. (Photo by Rota).
