Its vertical tail folded to clear the factory doors, a completed Boeing B-52 Stratofortress awaits roll-out from the company's Seattle plant in this first over-all B-52 production scene approved for publication by the Department of Defense. Additional production airplanes are readied for the move which will advance the entire line another step forward in the manufacturing sequence. Although production figures and time schedules remain classified information, it can be revealed that B-52s are rolling off the Seattle line on schedule and Boeing's Wichita, Kan., division, second source of the 350,000-pound jet bomber, is well along with its production program.
