Jap Bomber Hit While attacking Carrier - In this unusual three picture series, a Navy photographer aboard a U.S. carrier, captured the death throes of an attacking Japanese "Judy" dive bomber which missed with its bomb and was show down before it got out of range of the ship's anti-aircraft fire during strikes of U.S. Navy fast carriers off the Ryukyus 18 March, 1945. The light specks of tracers blanket the Nipponese plane which has burst into flame. April 27, 1945. (Photo by Official U.S. Navy Photo).
