Off On Trio-Way Fedal Crossing Of The Channel: Mr. Jacquise Du Preaire Pedalling away from Ramsgate at the start of his Channel-crossing to-day. Mr. Jacquise du Preaire, 30-year-old ex-Commando of Goring-on-Sea, Sussex, set off from Ramsgate, Kent, to-day (Sunday) on a double crossing of the Channel by pedal-craft. He is wearing a new type of life-saving suit which is water-and wind-proof and holds the heat. It will blow up like it ***** if he falls in the water. Mr. du Preaire, to make Calais in eight to ten hours. He plays to continue from there along the French coast to Le Kavre and re-cross the Channel to Southesea, making a total of 260 miles.
