He's Sitting on Pole to win ?100 -- A21-year-old University student began a 36-hour vigil on top of the 3/14W wireless mast today to win a ? 100 bet. He must stay on the Mast ? 205ft. above Latrobe Street ? until 10 p.m. tomorrow to win the bet. The student is Barry Lee, a third-year science student, from Warrnambool. Lee's police sitting will be in aid of the Royal Women's Hospital Mother's Day Appeal. It all began when an anonym donor offered ?100 to any person who could sit at the top of the saw mast for 36 hours. If Lee wins his bet, he gets ?100 and the donor will give the appeal ?100.
