Edwards. is shown (second from right) in this picture just received in London as he paid a two hour visit at Benghazi to king Idris (extreme right) of the new State of Libya. Seated on left is Mr. T. C. Ravensdale, British Consul-General. A member of the King's household is seen reading a speech of welcome. The visit was the first official call by warships of any nation on the new King.
