Princess Shoots A Lion (With A Camera) -- Princess Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh in their station Wagon Photographing the lion from a distance of Ten Yards. This picture was taken by Len Young, A.R.P.S., in the National Game park at Nairobi. On Saturday morning H.R.H. Princess Elizabeth had a busy round of official engagements but in the afternoon she and the Duke of Edinburgh spent three hours in the National park, Nairobi, Photographing wild animals. The Princess was using her cine camera and the Duke his miniature camera. Their Royal highnesses were taken round the park by Mr. Mervyn Cowie, Director of National Parks in Kenya, and by Mr. Kenneth Beaton, Jarden of the Nairobi National park. February 04, 1952.
