Weavers began to-day (Tuesday) the half-a-yard a day task of making the 20 yards of velvet for the Queen's Coronation robe, at the New Mills of Warner & Sons, Limited, at Braintree, Essex. The velvet, all silk, will be 21 inches wide. It is being woven by Miss Lilly Lee, who wove the Coronation Robe for Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, and Mrs. Hilda Carver. November 18, 1952.
