Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the dedication of the Anzac Garden atop the British Empire Building in Rockefeller Center on Sunday, April 23, 1950, are: (L. to r.) Lt. Gen. E.K. Smart, Australian Consul General; Miss Nola Luxford, wartime President of the Anzac Club of N.Y.; The Honorable Norman Makin, Australian Ambassador to the U.S.; G.S. Eyssell, Executive Vice President of Rockefeller Center, Inc., and Mr. D.W. Woodward, New Zealand Consul General. During the ceremony a bronze plaque to be placed in the garden was presented to Rockefeller Center. The inscription on the plaque is as follows: Ansac Garden, A garden of friendship between Australia, New Zealand and the United States, dedicated in 1940 to honor the fighting Anzacs of two World Wars.
