Cathedral Spire Will Collapse -- The 900 year-old Norwich Cathedral is crumbling to collapse, surveyors have warned the dean. They estimate immediate repair work will cost more than ?60,000. This figure is double the amount asked for in the Cathedral appeal launched two years ago. Surveyors have shown that the 315 ft. spire- the second tallest in England - will collapse if ?12,000 is not spent on it immediately.
