Queen Elizabeth, 26, today, April 21, wore black for her inspection of the Grenadier guards at Windsor Castle. The inspection was the only formal engagement of the day. The Queen is spending rest of the day quietly with her family. Her mother is already at the castle; Queen Mary is expected to drive out later today. The Queen, who became Colonel of the Grenadiers on her 16th birthday, is now assuming the colonelcies-in-chief of all the guards regiments, so that today's inspection is her last as Colonel of Grenadiers.
