The 22,000-ton passenger liner S.S. "Southern Cross" which gyres launched at Belfast on 17th; August 1954, has now been completed by Messrs. Harland and Wolff and, after successful sea trials has been handed over to her owners, Messrs. Shaw Savill and Albion Co. Ltd. She, is now berthed in Southampton docks preparing for her maiden voyage to Australia, for which all the 1,160 passenger berths have been booked for several weeks.
