Elson, wife of a prominent minister in the U.S. Capital. Underlining the community of interest among citizens of the free world, woman leaders on many countries criss- crossed the globe in 1954 to exchange knowledge and experience as a contribution to mutual understanding and friendship. One of these distinguished travelers was Nadme Doria Shafik, of Egypt, who made a six-week lecture of the Middle East a private group. Mrs.Shafik is an internationally known exponent of women's right and responsibilities as citizens.
