Britain aids Pilgrmage to Mecca. On the occasion of the recent departure of the pilgrims from Beirut to Mecca, sea transport was provided by the British Government. The banner displayed in Beirut bears the following inscription:"We have the honour to announces to pilgrims to the holy land of Mejaz that Great Britain has put at their disposal this season the "Empire Anvil" to carry them via Beirut to Jeda direat and return agents in Syria and the Lebanon Emile Nadim & Co.First trip on 17 instant."
